Hi I'm Andrea

I grew up in Utah. I love art and politics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from college in Political Science. I love politics, both U.S. and international, and plan on attending graduate school in a couple of years. I love the outdoors and like to hike and ski. I also really enjoy music and the performing arts.

Why I am a Mormon

My whole family is Mormon, but as I've gotten older, I've chosen for myself to remain a member of the church. I've grown to love the gospel and understand my Savior, Jesus Christ, through the things that I learn at church. I'm the happiest when I'm following the gospel as I've been taught it, and it becomes more and more important to me the more that I apply what I learn.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith on a daily basis. I believe that when you really believe in God, it changes the way you look at things in every situation and not just in church on Sundays. But I'm not perfect. My life is all about making mistakes, figuring things out, and trying to do better. Really, I don't think that I can narrow down any specific checklist that I do everyday to define myself as a Mormon. But I try to remember Jesus Christ and evaluate what He would do in any particular situation and then try to do it. Sometimes it's easy, and sometimes very difficult. The answers aren't always clear, but I'm grateful for the direction that I do have. And I'm grateful for the big picture of the gospel that helps me understand that this life is not so much about endless lists of requirements about what we need to do to be a Christian, but really about what we do to develop a relationship with our Savior and become more like Him. I think some of the simplest but most powerful ways I can do this on a daily basis is through prayer and through learning of Jesus Christ through the scriptures.
