Hi I'm Linda

I live in Colorado and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man and we have four sons and four daughters. We are the proud grandparents of 16 incredible grandchildren. I live in the country and love taking long walks in the early morning hours. Walking with friends makes it even more enjoyable. I love to read and make things with my hands, although I am not very good at anything in particular. I enjoy being around other people. My greatest enjoyment comes from serving in our temple near by. It brings me great peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by good parents who took me to church. I loved singing in the choir. We went to the Methodist church. I learned about Jesus Christ and felt very close to Him and my Heavenly Father. When I became an adult, married and began my family, I felt something missing. I began to search. Soon, the missionaries knocked on our door and we began learning about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In the church I found love and support for me and my family. My children were welcome to attend the meetings and were not required to be in a nursery as they were in the church I was attending. I felt a different spirit there than I was used to. My husband and I made the decision to be baptized and we've never looked back. The church has been such a blessing in our lives. We have grown to know our Savior and His great atoning sacrifice for us. Our testimonies of the truthfulness of the gospel have grown incredibly over the 40 years we have been members. We have the opportunity to serve in many different capacities. We are now watching our grandchildren benefit from the blessings of membership in the church.

How I live my faith

Most of my days begin with scripture study as I strive to live my faith. I find knowledge of the Savior, lessons that help me in my everyday life, scriptures to ponder on for the day, and knowledge about myself and things I need to change. The scriptures are a wealth of knowledge. I have served in many different capacities over the years from teaching an early morning scripture class to high school students before they begin their day at school to, teaching women and young children. Our women's organization gives me many opportunities for serving. I have held many positions of leadership. Everyday, I try to be an example of our Savior's love as I go out into the world.
