Hi I'm Brittani

I was born and raised in Colorado. I am studying Dental Hygiene. I love music, the outdoors and learning and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First things first, I just got married 1 month ago to the love of my life! Just as I did before, I still absolutely love life, and I also love my wonderful husband. But, here's a little bit more about me and what I like to do: I am very passionate about being healthy, because I know it is key to happiness. I love to hike, dance, sing, take pictures, play musical instruments (such as violin, viola, guitar, ukulele and piano) and I think this world is a beautiful place! I love finding the things that make me happy. I have learned through life that success only comes through hard work; through my many life experiences I continue to learn this lesson over and over again. My favorite thing in the entire world is music. I love to listen to, dance to, play to and sing to music! Music can express any emotion we have as humans, and I think that is wonderful. I am a very independent person, and I love to help my friends and see their lives change for the better.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true gospel on this earth. Through my life I have learned that there is truth in many different religions, but the whole, complete truth is found in the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it is the truest book on this earth. I also know that the Bible is the word of God. There have been so many times when I have been re-assured that the Mormon church is the true church. One example is that none of the leaders in the church are paid, it is all out of service. Also, all of the members of the church have callings (which means they have church responsibilities), so every single person has a chance to serve. These are things that I know God would implement in his church, and just a few reasons why I know with all of my heart that this is the true church. I also have read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover and the spirit has manifest to me that it is true. I am happy when I learn new bits of truth, and I know everything that I learn about the church is true because I can feel it inside my heart. I know that "it is by grace that we are saved after all we can do." (2 Nephi 25:23) Most of all I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all mankind, and he saves me every day.

How I live my faith

There are many things that I do to live my faith. First, I try to be the best person I can be, because I know that this is what God expects from me, and it makes me happy. I have taken upon myself the name of Christ, so when I have decisions that I must make, I truly try to choose what the Savior would. I also attend my church meetings on Sunday--which I always learn something new at--and I sing in the choir for my ward. In my singles ward my calling is "family home evening group leader". Family home evening is something that is held every Monday night in families. It is a time to learn about the scriptures and the gospel, and to have fun as a family. Because my ward is a singles ward, there are no families, so we create groups where we get together on Monday night and learn and have fun together. It is so great to be with a group and feel like I belong somewhere. I love being in charge of putting together family home evenings, because when we finally get together we have such a great time, and I know that it is because of the hard work I put into it. Besides my calling, I just love living my faith every single day. I know that wherever I live I will always feel like I have a family, whether I have my own or not, because of the way the church is set up, and this makes me so happy.
