Hi I'm Matthew Berry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 4th generation fly fishing guide. In 1919 my great-grandfather on my mother's side began guiding on the Teton River in Idaho. I am fortunate to own, with my brother, the lodge that our great-grandfather started.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to be active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of the happiness it brings to me and my family. Both my parents passed away at relatively young ages. The peace I feel from the Holy Ghost and the knowledge of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ keeps me centered. I know the plan our Father in Heaven has for each of us. This life is just the beginning.

How I live my faith

Nobody is perfect in this life. I try my best to live the commandments and teachings of the church. Thankfully we have the ability to repent. Heavenly Father loves us no matter what.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Matthew Berry
It is a nickname given to us because of our belief in the translation of the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It together with the Bible builds our testimony of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
