Hi I'm Donna

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother - but first I am ME. I am a product of a broken home and my first marriage ended in divorce. I have been happily married to my dear husband for many years now. We were married in the Washington D.C. Temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I haven't been a member of any other church, however, living in the midwest most of my friends were of different faiths. We visitied each other's church and talked about our beliefs on occasion. My father was an inactive member until I was 8 and then my mother and I were both baptized. I knew that I could feel the Spirit and hear the promptings almost immediately. My parents were divorced when I was a teen and that seemed to shatter my life at the time. I married outside the church and that turned out to be a disaster that could not be put back together. When I went back to church - it was truly like 'coming home'. I walked in and knew that I would never leave again. The blessings of peace that I experienced was like walking into a bright room out of complete darkness.

How I live my faith

I am a friendly and outgoing person. I get to know the people I interact with on a daily basis and learn so much from everyone I meet. I've had many opportunities to serve in the Church and probably spent more time serving the Youth than anywhere else. I love them and want them to have a firmer foundation than I had when the storms hit their lives. And there WILL be storms, that's inevitable. I love the scriptures and am now serving in a Seminary calling. I would like the scriptures and the pamphlet "For the Strength of Youth" to be every young man's and young woman's handbooks, maps, gps and instructional guide as they begin their journey toward adulthood.
