Hi I'm Scott

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Pennsylvania and joined the Church when I was attending graduate school in Utah.

About Me

I'm a happily married father of 4. I love to read, fish, camp, and do things with my family. I served a mission in Brasil and now my daughter is serving a mission in Recife, Brasil and my oldest son is serving a mission in Sao Paulo Brasil.

Why I am a Mormon

I became interested in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the emphasis on the family. The thought that I could be with my family forever was very enticing, and everything that I learned from spending time with members of the Church showed me that although Mormons are just like any group of people and are not perfect by any means, the values that are lived by active members of the church along with the teachings of Jesus Christ and living prophets make for a people who are happy and fun and understand what is important in this life.

How I live my faith

I serve currently as the religious leader or Bishop of my congregation (or ward). This is an unpaid position where I have the opportunity to work with many other volunteers to try to improve people's lives. I work closely with the youth of our ward and have been on many campouts and outings with our young men and young women. These youth are some of the most phenomenal people that I have ever met and are quickly growing into tremendous adults who will contribute much to their families and communities and workplaces in the future.
