Hi I'm Ted Jeppsen

I am the 9th of 13 children, a student at USU, served a faithful mission in Mexico City, love sports, and I´m a Mormon

About Me

I come from a very large Family of 13 children. I love my family so much they are everything to me, they have helped me become who and what I am today. The best part about having a large family is that you can make a full softball team!!! I am a student at USU studying Accounting and love every minute of it. I am fascinated by every sport and play just about all of them. I served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints probably the experience that has shaped my life the most.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know with surety that this is the true church and that Christ is the head of this church. I know all of this because of the many experiences I had in my mission. But the experience that truly converted me is when I truly asked God my Father in Heaven if the Book of Mormon is true. The Book of Mormon is the key to our religion and one that knows that it is true will also know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and that this is the true Church. It was the 27th of august 2011 when I asked God if the Book of Mormon was true and he answered me I know it without a doubt. This day as I was pondering on the Book of Mormon when the POWER of the Holy Ghost touched me and testified to me it was true. I felt it enter in my through the shoulders and fill me with a heat. After that it made me feel chills in my arms and I knew without a doubt that is was true. Thanks to that experience I know without a doubt that Jesus is the Christ our savior who died for us but lives again. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore this Gospel and that God still calls prophets today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and if you ask your Father in Heaven if it is true he will answer you. I also know that Thomas s. Monson is a Prophet of God and the Man that receives revelation for us today. That is why I am a Mormon because I received an answer from God that this is true and I cannot doubt what he told me. I am so grateful for my testimony and everything my Father in Heaven has blessed me with. Everyday my testimony is strengthened as I see more and blessings and miracle in my life.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful for my faith it truly has helped me learn and grow. I served a full time mission for the Church form 2011-2013. I served in Mexico City and loved it, the people, the food and all the many spiritual experiences that I had. It was some of the most gratifying years of my life. As a young man I served as deacon and teacher quorum presidents and as a priest as the first counselor in the priest or young men’s group. All growing up I have done service, helping widows with varies activities and serving the community such as cleaning the streets. My faith really stresses the importance of eagle scouts and I was able to obtain my Eagle Scout and finish my service project, building an electrical safety box in a park to cover open wires. Now I look for many ways to serve, but more importantly to share the good news of a restored gospel that we have. I will always share this gospel because it is the most important thing I have in my life. So any one that does not have this in their life’s I want them to have it.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Ted Jeppsen
The Book of Mormon is another witness of our savior Jesus Christ. It testifies of the reality of his life and his atonement. Ancient Prophets who were chosen of God wrote their personal experiences and life’s in the Book of Mormon its main purpose that was not revealed unto them until later. The Book of Mormon relates of story, starting with Lehi´s family who left Jerusalem and crossed the ocean to the American continent. As time continued throughout the Book of Mormon God called prophets to guide his children just as he had done since the time of Adam. During the story of the Book of Mormon the people became really righteous for a time and then became wicked, by doing so they lost the blessing of God. Because of their wickedness they were almost all eliminated, except for a small group who as we know them today are the Native Americans. I believe the most critical/important point the Book or Mormon contains is the promise the last prophet left for everyone, asking all who obtained the book to meditate and pray, and ask God if it is true. He promises that if you do so God will answer us “by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost will help you know the truth of all thing” (Moroni 10:4-5). Show more Show less
