Hi I'm Darrell A.

I am proud to be Mormon.

About Me

I am a Husband,Father, Chef, Referee, and I am currently attending On-line college. Beyond what I have done, as a Father, you become many, if not all charcteristics, i.e. Lawyer, Doctor, Salesman, Financial advisor, Accountant, and so on. We are all everything in the eyes of our FAMILY.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon for over 20 years, after visioning the future of my life. I was baptized when I was 21 years old. I am here alive today because the Heavenly Father preserved my life for this cause. I was not a bad person, just a lost person. I was introduced to the Gospel by chance. I was playing Basketball in an alumni game when I was asked to play for a Church team, at first thought, I was apprehensive, but later took the challenge, I subsequently became a member, but the trials and roadblocks where not easy. Family members would try to persuade me that I was being brain-washed, and said it was not the right thing to do. I didn't have a Joseph Smith vision nor a deep feeling prompting, what I did have is the determination to really know if it was right for me. I had to find out for myself and none other, to know if it was right, through constant reading and more understanding of what Joseh Smith did and ultimately knowing I would have an opportunity for an eternal family, and othe very personal experiences, led me to know that this was correct. Heavenly Father is more loving than any person spiritually and mortal, he will always prepare a way for each of us to find his love and Gospel. Whatever situation we may be involved in and no matter the complexity of it, Heavenly Father will be able to help us as far as we wish him to. God Lives! Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, as I see the beauty of his creation, I know he LOVES me and cares for me, and will be there when I pass through the vail to give me a loving hug and welcome me into his kingdom. This Gospel is true and connot be frustrated. This is my solomn testistomy, In the name of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I currently work specifically with the Young Men(First Counselor in the Young Mens Presidency), I was previously a Seminary teacher for the youth, I have been in many callings in the church, but I recognize these two because they are the closest to my heart. As a member, I have come to know that the youth is the strength for the future of our church. In my small community outside the church, I am proud to let other know of my faith and am willing at every chance to share with them my knowledge of the Gospel. I have always been a believer to not be "selfish", I have something that the Lord has blessed me of knowing, and I try really hard to make sure that my integrity is at the highest level. I also strive to seek for service opportunities, this is one key element that we can do for our neighbor. I was a coach for my son's baseball team, and through the entire year I was teaching 'Faith preceedes miracles", as we went on to win the championship game, the parents of the players would come up to me and say "Faith preceedes miracles", see, we had a team that no one would ever thought we could win but a few games, let alone a championship, but we did, and we did it based upon my "Faith" and determination and love for the boys and the faith of others who believed me. Finally, I support the church by being responsible for certain families each month, finding out the needs of those families and assisting them in any way I can. There is no greater call than to serve the members of the church and your community.
