Hi I'm Carol

I'm a mother of 4 children and the grandmother to 12 very special grandchildren. I'm a concerned parent and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 4 incredible children, all of whom I am so very proud. They have given us 12 very talented and beautiful grandchildren who bring great joy to our family. I love to interact with the family and I also love to travel. Meeting people from all over the world is a very special blessing. There is so much to learn from others!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of my life. However, just like my mother who converted to the church when she was 20 years old, I too went through a process of being truly "converted" and knowing for myself, independent of anyone else, that following the principles of Jesus Christ and of the doctrine of His restored Church was the life long path I wanted to follow. While my faith in Jesus Christ has always been strong and unwavering, it was while I was teaching high school students in the early morning church education seminary program that I gained my strongest testimony of our Savior and His mission. Reading, studying, and pondering the Bible, The Book of Mormon and other revealed scriptures filled me with an overwhelming peace and assurity that the Word of God is contained therein. As I have matured in the gospel, my love for our Father in Heaven has grown immensely. I am grateful that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to be the Savior of the world and to be the perfect example of how to live our lives. This great gift has brought me, my husband and family great happiness. How blessed I am!

How I live my faith

Every day I seek to follow Jesus Christ in how I act, what I say, and where I go. I know that at times I have fallen short, but through constant prayer I seek to maintain my relationship with my Heavenly Father which helps me make daily course corrections. I am currently serving as Director of Public Affairs for the Church in our community. Building positive relationships with individuals from other religions, community organizations, and government offices means a great deal to me. I learn how to be a better citizen in our community by their examples.

Are Mormons Christians?

There are some outside our religion who think that Mormons are not Christians. At times I find that very hard to understand given that the official name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, if one measures who a Christian is by a narrow set of criteria based on traditional mainstream Christianity, Mormons may indeed fall outside that definition. But let it be known, we follow Jesus Christ. He is the head of our Church. We believe that He is the only begotten Son of God in the flesh. He died for our sins and is our Savior. We believe that through His atonement, all will be resurrected and that everyone who has ever lived, does now, or ever will live can return to a loving Father in Heaven. Yes, Mormons are Christians, but more importantly, we are followers of Jesus Christ! Show more Show less
