Hi I'm Myrna

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of five children, one daughter and four sons; the grandmother of six granddaughters and six grandsons; the great grandmother of seven and two more on the way! I have been married to my sweetheart for 57 years this November. We are an eternal family. My hobbies include knitting, oil painting, sewing, cooking (I do love to cook) and going to my little log cabin in the mountains. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing of their interests. I am a homebody, but like to travel on occasion.

Why I am a Mormon

Initially, I was committed to joining whatever church my husband belonged to as I wanted any children we might have to share the same beliefs. Over time, however, I came to realize one day that I have a strong testimony of my own and know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true religion of Jesus Christ. Every principle taught is through revelation from God. Every gospel principle was taught over 2000 years ago by Jesus Christ while on the earth. It is a comfort to me knowing of the hereafter and what it means to have my family sealed to me. I realize now how blessed I've been that my husband was a member of the LDS religion.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings in the church. Currently I serve as a librarian and I have come to know many members who attend our meetings through this calling. I also meet with my lady companion once a month and we visit with three female members. We teach a lesson on how to better serve one another as mothers, wives and friends and neighbors. The LDS religion is a huge humanitarian organization in part helping people around the world in need. Every member has an opportunity to serve those in need should they desire.
