Hi I'm Fred

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 33 years. We have three sons. The eldest is an Air Force Firefighter. The middle one is a newly hired police officer. The third is much younger and will soon be starting in the second grade. I am a veteran of the U.S. Navy and am employeed as a Senior Reactor Operator at a commercial nuclear power generating station. I enjoy camping and fishing in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter (we have to go outside of Nebraska for that, of course).

Why I am a Mormon

I started out investigating the Church because of a need I felt to have religion in the life of my young family. Upon reading the Book of Mormon and being taught by the missionaries, I found that the teachings of the Church made sense to me and rang true. The Church has the teachings and the authority to enable me to live together forever with my family. I have always been impressed by the way the Church teaches its members how to improve their temporal life as well as teaching them the principles they need to gain eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

This is not a Sunday-only religion. I strive to practice my faith every day through prayer and study. I serve others whenever the opportunity presents itself. I am honest in my dealings with others.
