Hi I'm Nancy

I grew up in a fun and loving home and have tried to create that same home environment for my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married and am the mother of four children and the grandmother of three grandchildren. I attended college and received a bachelors degree but was able to be a stay at home mom and raise my children. They are the joy of our lives. I enjoy doing creative things like beading, quilting and entertaining family and friends at our home. I'm trying to take care of myself physically and mentally by working out regularly.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a home where my father was a member of the Mormon church but my mother was not. When I was about 10 years old my mother showed an interest in the Mormon church. She began to study it's teachings and to attend services and felt that she wanted to join the church. This brought greater strength and unity to our family to have parents who were of one heart and mind when it came to raising their children. This in turn provided an example to me of the path I should follow in my own life. A strong religious base is important to me, just as the foundation for a house must be straight and firm. It has given me something to build upon that is always constant and true. I am grateful for these guidelines that have in turn helped me in raising our family. Sometimes our children did not agree with decisions we would make but eventually they came to know the safety which comes from doing what is right.

How I live my faith

I have been invited or "called" to teach the 14 year old youth from our congregation religious education each morning before high school. Each school year we focus on a different book of scripture, this year we are studying the Old Testament. This is a great opportunity for me to study and know for myself the truths that lie in that book of the coming of Jesus Christ and to teach these young people of those things that they might know of their truthfulness themselves.
