Hi I'm Judy

I'm a wife, mother, an author, an artist, a graphic designer, and work in public relations. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of four grown children, grandmother of nine, and have been married to the same great guy for 42 years. Being a mother is challenging and rewarding. Being a grandmother is just plain fun! My husband and I love to go on cruises and collect art. I've worked for 27 years in the public relations field, am the director of a speakers bureau, owned a graphic design business, and have written and illustrated a series of childrens books. I enjoy doing three-dimensional artwork, including large paper sculptures and assemblage/collage art. I serve as chairman of a coalition of local churches who work together to benefit our community.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have a testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's restored church on the earth. Life's most important questions are answered in its teachings: Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going? I know I'm a daughter of loving heavenly parents. I know that I'm not perfect; but because of the atonement of Jesus Christ, I can repent of my failings and return to live in His presence. I'm grateful to have a prophet at the head of this church who can receive revelation from God and who can guide us through the confusing snares of our times. The most important reason that I'm a Mormon is that through the ordinances that have been restored, our family can be together for all eternity. Death is not the end of our relationships. I cannot think of a greater gift.

How I live my faith

I've served as a leader, teacher, and participant in every auxiliary of the Church. I have humbly accepted responsibilities that were way beyond my capability, but the Lord has guided me, strengthened me, and allowed me to grow--with God, anything is possible! It is an honor to work with many extraordinary people who are also trying to emulate the Savior and make the world a better place. My husband and I regularly attend the temple. It is through the ordinances of the temple that our family is able to achieve our greatest goal--to become an eternal family.

How does the Church finance its operations?

Judy
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is financed through the tithing of its members. Tithing is a principle that can only be understood by living it, by putting it to the test. The Lord has given me 100 percent of everything I have and only asks for 10 percent of it back. He repays me over and over again for my obedience in blessings that are way beyond the scope of finances. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Judy
The most important way I have come to know our Father in Heaven is through prayer, meditation, and scripture study. I've heard it said that if you want to talk to Heavenly Father, you pray. If you want Heavenly Father to talk to you, you study his words in the scriptures. Inspiration ALWAYS comes to me when I follow that pattern. Show more Show less
