Hi I'm Ben

I'm happily married, am the father of 3 great kids, am a passionate film producer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always had a love for and am inspired by all forms of visual expression - painting, sculpture, drawing, prints, photography, animation & especially film. I'm a film producer and have worked on national television programs, feature films, television commercials and corporate videos. I am married. My wife and I have 3 children and enjoy spending time with them fishing and 4WDing on the beach. My favourite place in the world is Fraser Island.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I prayed about which church the Lord would want me to join and received an answer to that prayer. With all my heart I sincerely say that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the same organisation the Lord Himself established anciently on the earth, and is built upon the foundation of prophets and apostles, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). I believe that the Lord has called a prophet again on the earth today. I believe that He has revealed additional scriptures to the world that speak of the Lord Jesus Christ's visit to a scattered tribe of the House of Israel after His death and resurrection in Jerusalem. I believe our Father in Heaven has restored His holy priesthood to the earth and that families can be united eternally in His presence.

How I live my faith

I feel to live my faith because I believe in Christ. I study the scriptures in the Old and New Testaments and also as recorded by ancient South American prophets who left Jerusalem in 600 BC and migrated to the Americas. Their record has been translated by another prophet of God - Joseph Smith. I believe and have a testimony all the prophets who wrote in these sacred records were called of God and were mouthpieces for the Lord Jesus Christ on the earth. I attend Church and serve in assignments given to me. I voluntarily served for 2 years as a full time missionary in Perth, Western Australia, teaching others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and doing community service. I try to serve others at work and in the community by just trying be helpful and by doing my best to live the teachings of Jesus Christ. Because of His teachings, I want to be kind, I want to be friendly, I want to be helpful and try to treat others as the Saviour would.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely. My perception is that this is one of the greatest misconceptions of those who are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Church has a nickname and some call it the "Mormon" Church and those who are members of it "Mormon" because of our testimony of and belief in the Book of Mormon - an ancient record written by the hands of prophets of God who migrated from Jerusalem to South America around 600 BC. They kept this sacred record until it was buried just after 400AD. By God's commandment it was later translated and is like the Bible a witness of Jesus Christ, and a testament that God loves His children in all nations, and that He remembers one nation like unto another. The title doesn't offend me to be called a Mormon, but I do prefer to be known as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as we believe that this is the Church of Jesus Christ, established on the earth in the latter times, before His second coming. We worship Christ in all of church services and pray to the God the Father in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. We strive daily to emulate the example of Christ and live our lives the way He would have us live. Show more Show less
