Hi I'm Sam

I love to run, read, play sports, enjoy life and spend time with others. I am very into music and the arts, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Sam, I was born in Mexico and raised in Nevada. I love so many things about the life God has given me. I love the arts... all of them... from the art of cooking to the art of dancing; music, photography, ceramics, painting, knitting, singing, running and so much more. This world is a masterpiece! I also love helping others and think of becoming a doctor someday. We will see what happens!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts to the church and by the time I was born my family was already very strong in the church. As I grew older I decided for myself wether or not the church I was brought up in was true. So as any investigator should do, I opened my heart to the teachings of the church. I read the Book of Mormon, prayed, listened and looked for ways God would answer my prayers and realized over time that I was becoming a happier, more lively person. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I asked God, in the name of Jesus Christ, wether or not this was the right church. I felt a feeling of confidence. Of something I already knew was true in my life. I felt happy about it and I felt a feeling of peace. I KNEW IT WAS TRUE, and knew it was right. Everytime I pray, I communicate with my Father in Heaven. I know that God, our Heavenly Father is there. I feel that I have an identity in this life. The Book of Mormon is full of lessons to learn and answers questions that I have prayed about. My family is bound, close, united and strong. With the hardships of this life, the gospel of Jesus Christ is the way God helps us to endure through them and get the most out of this life until we come back to live with Him someday.

How I live my faith

I participate now as a missionary serving in the eastern United States. I invite everyone I come across to "come unto Chirst by helping them receive the restored gospel" of Jesus Christ. I love what I do. I talk to many people everyday from all over the world telling them about the wonderful blessing it is to know who God is, who and what Jesus Christ did for them. I love sharing my faith with those that are looking for a better life. I know that life should be filled with happiness and joy. To all who are willing, I teach who we are, why we're here, where we're going and how to get there. I live my faith by always trying to be like my Savior, Jesus Christ; helping others, smiling, comforting those that stand in need of comfort and just always trying to be a better person.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Sam
We are ALL brothers and sisters of an Eternal Father in Heaven. This is why members at church call each other by 'brother' or 'sister'. Since we are all brothers and sisters we strive and are taught to help everyone and anyone around us. As Jesus taught, we are to love our neighbors, without exception. I hope we can all learn to do that. I love serving others. I enjoy meeting new people and helping them realize that we are all brothers and sisters of a loving Heavenly Father. Mormons are to help everyone. Show more Show less
