Hi I'm Cali

I am a theater techie, student, book worm, daddy's girl, sister, and I am A MORMON

About Me

I am the only girl in a family of 4, in fact the only girl on my street. I love playing sports and being in nature, and I love reading a good book. I am very out going, and loud. I love to laugh, and be with my family. I majored in theatre until I recieved my I AS degree. I believe in being true to who I am , never take anything at face value, and always weighing my decisions.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but never really had a testimony of it. I stopped going, until I realized I wasn't happy anymore and that I was faking it. Through my time away from the gospel I never lost the knowledge of who God is and that he loves me. I did my own studying and praying asking God to direct me. I was going to do whatever he told me to, because I knew that he loved me and that he was there. It was a very hard journey, but at the end of it I found truth, love, acceptance, and happiness through my Saviour, and God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being close to my family. My mother passed away when I was 16, and ever since then i realized how precious life is, and how much my family means to me. It isn't very big, I have 2 older brothers and my dad. But being close to them by sharing, being honest, laughing, and accepting is really how I live my faith. Going to church, reading the scriptures, praying, and following Gods commandments, I want God to be proud of me, and I want to be happy that is the way to be truely happy!

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Just like the Bible it is a collections of prophets writings. And the main writer is the Propher Mormon, he abridged some of the writings with the guidance from God It starts from about 600 years before christ came to the earth and goes until 400 years after he dies. . The crowing moment however is when Jesus Christ Visits the American continent after his resurection. The Book of Mormon serves as another Testiment that Jesus is the Christ and that he Lives. Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

YES! We do have a prophet here on the earth today! It is how God intended it to be. When Moses was told that he wouldn't entering into the promised land, he begged God to let the people have another "shepard" to help lead them. Moses himself knew how we needed a prophet. And God has called many prophets through out time. Samuel, Elias, Elijah, and Elisha... just to name a few. The prophet doesn't disrupt our own communication with our Heavenly Father. He helps and serves us! So that we may be prepared for things, be reminded of certain things, and to help edify us by the spirit. It is really exciting to hear a prophets voice. You can know if there is a modern "moses" by praying about it! Show more Show less
