Hi I'm Heather

I love ice skating and sliding around on hardwood floors and I am a mormon.

About Me

A couple of years ago, I decided I wanted to learn how to figure skate while attending Utah State University and I was by far the worst person in the class. After a year of bruised knees and a bloody finger from being ran over, I learned how to twirl, jump and do the moon walk and learned I can do anything if I put in the work. Life is all about trying new things and starting from scratch and testing our ablility. We will never know if we can do something until we try. The answer will always be no until we try. I believe in failing and messing up and making a fool out of myself until I get it right. My family is my everything! There are seven of us and I believe God gave me my family so I could grow to be my best self and to have a never failing support system through all my trails. We are very competitive and we could spend every night together playing card and board games and never get sick of it. I treasure the time I have to be with my family and all the other wonderful people in my life. Life is great!

Why I am a Mormon

I have found a strength through Jesus Christ and his sacrafice for me and I know that he lives and is awear of my situations. If I learn of him and allow him to have place in my heart than he can heal any seen or unseen wounds that I carry. God loves me and all of his children and coming to understand this has forever changed my life. I know Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet to restore Christ's church back on earth and to restore the Priesthood that enable us to be sealed as a family for time and all eternity. I know Thomas Monson is the prophet today and he speaks for God and if I listen to the words, I can know what God wants me to do. It's comforting to know God is awear of us even today, just like in old times, and has called a prophet again to help us make it back to his presence. I know this church is true and I love being a member of it and I love understanding the plan God has for me.

How I live my faith

One of the greatest ways I have learned to love those around me is through serving them. When I was at Utah State University, I was in charge of making sure all the ladies around me were being taught in their homes and being watched out for. This program is wonderful because it makes sure everyone is okay and if there is anything they need we can take care of it right away. I have also been in charge of the womens group where I was in charge of putting together fun activities that helped us get to know each other better and grow in our testimonies. I love working with the women of the church! As I get together with them I grow from their experiences and find life time friends.
