Hi I'm Jann

I'm a Mormon. I taught 1st through 5th grades and was a media specialist in two elementary schools. I have one granddaughter.

About Me

I was born in the convenent and raised in Salt Lake to parents who were active in the LDS church. We attended church every week and were involved in the auxiluries such as primary, Sunday school and Mutual (now called Young women or Young Mens). I attended BYU and recieved a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Library Science. I married a man that went to the University of Utah, but we were high school friends. We had three chidren that are now grown and persuing careers, and producing families of their own.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been learning and growing in the gospel all my life. I am still learning and growing in the understanding of our Heavenly Father's Plan for us. I am continually in awe to how much sense it all makes and how fortunate that I have scriptural sources of others who believe and know the same plan. I am also fortunate that there is a prophet and apostles that teach us today just as they did in the Bible and the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am involved by helping in the Family History Center of our ward where I am suppose to help others discover their geneology, but I'm learning a lot myself. I also teach music to the sisters in church and visit monthly 4 sisters of our faith. I help along with my husband to tend children while couples are recieving guidance with problems that plague them in this modern age. I attend meetings even when I am visiting out of state especially sacrament meeting where I renew my baptismal covenents and repent of any wrong doing that I may have done during the week. I visit the temple often and hope to be able to do some temple work for my ancestors that I am learning about in our geneology experience.
