Hi I'm William

I'm one of only 65 American Culinary Federation Certified Master Chefs. I'm a Mormon. I've traveled much of the world.

About Me

I've worked in foodservice all my career. I'm a professional Chef and foodservice executive. Started in a small butcher shop. Worked in industrial feeding, Hotels, private country and city clubs. I've owned restaurants, taught in post secondary education. For the past 16 years I've worked as a corporate executive chef for a very large food manufacture. I'm a husband, father and grandfather.

Why I am a Mormon

I struggled with religion as a youth and young adult. Spent time in and even joined several congregations. As a adult, and a fairly good bible student I didn't understand the confusion. I couldn't believe that a loving heavenly father would leave his children to flounder in such critical matters. I yearned for solid answers to basic questions such as where did I come from, what is the purpose of it all and where do we really go after death. I pick up a Book of Mormon quite by chance and couldn't put it down. The rest is history. I now can't imagine my life without the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It has provided all the answers to my questions. The simple doctrines of God's kingdom is straight forward, easy to understand and comprehensive. There is no darkness in them. They provide the focus for peace, happiness and true joy for this life and the future.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Church as a councilor. I provide insights and suggestions. I serve my family as a spiritual leader and sit with them in council. I have served as a sunday school teacher and various groups leader. Part of my responsibilities are to visit the sick, the widows and the single parents in our congregation. I glady give 10% of my gross income to the cause and additional sums in direct support of the local poor and the needy saints. I start and end my day with prayer. I try to read form the scriptures daily. I give 20 hour of service monthly to the local temple as a worker. I have learned that more I give the more bless I'm. I've come to realize that Christ's admonition to, "be ye therefore perfect even as I'am", is not a event but a life long pursuit. I have always thought of myself basically as a good person but the gospel of christ has given me the direction, insights and skills to continually try to be more like him in thought, word and deeds. line upon line and precept upon precept.
