Hi I'm Eric

I grew up in an LDS family in Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and grew up in Idaho. I enjoy being with my family and learning from them. I love to ski and enjoy the mountains of Idaho. I play the piano and I love studying music. I am attending college right now at BYU and am getting my bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. I like math and science and I want to help design airplanes in the future. I served a mission in Honduras getting to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serving the people there. That has definitely been a defining moment for me serving among such a Christ-like people.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, I just went to church mainly because my family went. I thought it was true because that is what I had been taught all of my life. As time went on, I had a deeper and deeper desire to know for myself that it was true. By the time I left on my mission, I had enough confidence and faith in the Lord to go and let my testimony grow. After spending two years preaching and studying the Gospel, my testimony has become strong. I have read the Book of Mormon several times and have prayed about it as well. I know that it is the word of God, like the Bible, and my testimony is strengthened each time I read it. The fact that families can be together forever isn't just a fantasy that people hope for. It is real only through the authority of God that is on the earth again through a living prophet called of God. An eternal family, one of the things that I am most grateful for through the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, is the goal that I am working to achieve most of all.

How I live my faith

I love teaching the Gospel, and after teaching the Gospel for two years on a mission, I look for whatever opportunity I get to do it. I home teach and visit families in my ward and try to help them develop faith in Christ through the adversities in the world. I am serving right now as the leader in charge of the men in my ward. This has been a great opportunity to get to know others and serve them. I always try to be an example of my conviciton and faith in my community by avoiding the evils in this world and motivating others to be better. I hope that my example can have and influence on others.
