Hi I'm Colt

I'm a husband, a father, a dentist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy a variety of things including the outdoors, sports, learning, and spending time with family. Everything about the outdoors screams beauty. From the mountains to the sea, the world is filled with the beautiful creations of a loving Heavenly Father. Being surrounded by nature brings me a sense of serenity and peace which help me to ponder on the things that matter most. I love playing basketball, football, soccer, or anything that requires physical exertion and skill. Enjoying these activities with friends and family is even better. Currently I am a dentist in Montana and enjoy learning all of the fascinating things there are to learn about. I am particularly enthralled with the complexity of the human body and how intricate it really is. Definitely made after the image of God. I am also a husband, and a father to a beautiful little girl and handsome little boy. I love spending time with them and watching my little ones grow! Such a fascination for life is inspiring and helps me to feel the love of our Father in Heaven. It definitely helps me gain a glimpse into the love that God must have for all of his children!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ carries with it the promises of our Heavenly Father to us, his children. The message of the restoration of this gospel, in it's fullest form, in our day brings with it these promises. As I have prayed and exercised my faith throughout my life I have felt the reassuring testimony borne of the Spirit that my Heavenly Father loves me, and because he loves me he has restored his gospel to the earth once more. This testimony helps me to move forward, exercising continual faith in Jesus Christ and his teachings. As I do so, I continue to receive the reassuring testimony from the Spirit that Christ lives, and that He leads and guides his church through a living prophet, and other authorized men and women whom He has called. The gospel of Jesus Christ also helps me to develop myself and helps me to find happiness in this life, and maintain a proper perspective. Often times we become distracted by the many worries of the world. Knowing that our purpose here on earth is to serve one another, and to strive to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ, helps me to set aside the things that may cause me to worry, and try to focus on the things that last; family, knowledge, and my testimony. The gospel of Jesus Christ promises us that if we obey the commandments of God, we can keep our families, our knowledge and testimonies for eternity. Because of the witness of the Spirit to my mind and heart that these things are true, I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Each day I strive to live as an example to others of the type of life our Savior would live. Though I am not perfect, I can help others to see the blessings that the teachings of Jesus Christ through a modern day prophet and apostles can bring. I serve wherever I am needed in my local ward and have been blessed to teach both adults and children about the blessings of following the Lord's teachings. I was also able to serve a 2 yr. full-time mission in Portugal and meet so many great people whose lives are also blessed by following the teaching of Jesus Christ. We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father, and his truths are the same throughout the world.
