Hi I'm Nathan Johnson

I'm a Mormon. I am from a border town in Az called Yuma. I am an electronics student in Charlottesville, Va.

About Me

I love technology but also nestalgic peices from the past like antiques, that resinate your culture. I love to hunt and fish and ride dirtbikes and boating. Pretty much anything outdoors. I am an engineering student and am Married of 9 years with 2 kids who are 4 and 5.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon not because I grew up in the church. I am a mormon because of feeling the Holy Ghost testifiy to my heart and mind that this is god's church. That the Prophet and president of the church is through whom Jesus Christ communicates and all of the doctrine is constistant with what god established and taught anciently. The Book of Mormon fills in soo many holes in what doctrine the world has had to rely on. It also compliments, not takes away from what the bible establishes. I feel that as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I am in the right place to recieve personal guidance for my life and the lives of my family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living by the hope given by the truths of the restored gospal of Jesus Christ through Joseph Smith. I know that when I act on my imperfections and fall, that I can get up again and keep trying. I have all the right tools. The right doctrine, to reflect and learn the teachings of the Savior. A living prophet that recieves guidance from God and has the same authority and mission as did prophets anciently. Also twelve living apostles to expound doctrine and help me better understand the master that they also serve and follow just as in ancient times. My volunteer calling is to serve Sunday School leadership for teaching and suggesting sunday school teachers in our local congregation/ward to the volunteer leadership in our congregation/ward. I also just serve anywhere and anyone I can, in or outside of the church.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Nathan Johnson
I see that without it, the book of mormon is missing one of the most important witnesses to Christ. The bible is so neat and necessary to have with the book of mormon as it contains the doctrine of where it all started. It adds a crucial survey marker to someone searching for the truth amidst the landscape of the gospal. Show more Show less
