Hi I'm Stacey

I am a full time mother of five children and run my own business. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I guess you could say "I'm livin the dream." After being a stay at home mom for over 20 years, my husband and I fulfilled my wish of opening a hair salon. What makes it even better is that my oldest daughter works right next to me doing hair, and I am training my youngest daughter to do hair! I know they say to never work with family but they have never met my family. We love working together! There is nothing better in this life than doing what you love surrounded by the ones you love!

Why I am a Mormon

My Father baptised me a member of the Mormon Church when I was 8 years old. My parents got divorced shortly after. The following year my Mother married a great man who was Methodist. I attended the methodist church from the time I was 10 yrs old until the age of 18. I left home and didn't attend any church for about a year. I got married and followed my new husband to Seattle Washington. We struggled to find work, and found ourselves starving and homeless. I remembered something my father had told me years earlier, that if I needed help of any kind to find a Bishop from the Mormon Church and he would help me. So I opened the phone book and called the closest Bishops phone number listed. He agreed to meet with me. After an hour of talking to him in his office, he had us set up in an apartment with enough food for the month. In exchange he ask if i would attend Church. I thought that wasn't much to ask for all he had done for us. I attended Church that next Sunday. I felt so much love and support that I kept going back week after week. I learned so much about why I am here, where I am going when I leave this life and how to be happy. It has been 22 years and I still attend church every week. I hate to think about where I would have ended up if I hadn't found the Mormon Church!

How I live my faith

The Mormon Church has a network of women that meet on a regular basis to learn about different life skills and to socialize. I get to organize these events for the women in my Church. I get to talk to each woman individually to find out what they would like to learn more about. I have organized everything from gardening, changing a tire to cutting hair. These classes are open to anyone and are free of charge.
