Hi I'm Eric

I am a nerd. I run up walls. I dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy all types of sports although soccer is definitely my favorite. I love a good competition and just messing around. I am number 7 of 11 kids, each one more competitive than the first. I am from a town in the middle of nowhere but I still learned the lessons of life. I learned a lot from living with people who had little and loved a lot. I just love being able to learn and grow every day as I strive to live the way that Our Father in Heaven wants me to be. I am probably my happiest when I am just with my family and having a good time. I guess you could say my life motto is "Life is an adventure, Make it epic." I strive to do so every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in this church my entire life. My parents both were members and taught me the things of God since I was a little kid. I learned to read by reading the scriptures. I've gone to church since I was a little kid and still go today. I guess you could say I have never had a giant, huge experience where it just hit me that this church is God's church on the Earth today. I have just always known. As I have lived the gospel and as I have kept the commandments that Heavenly Father has given us, I have truly been blessed. I have a solid family that cares for me and loves me for who I am and who I can still become. I have recieved an education and I know how to work hard and how I can make myself better every day. As I said before, I have never had a huge experience that made me realize that this church is God's church. But I do have a witness that it is true. This is truly God's work on the Earth. By keeping God's commandments and striving to do what our Savior would do, we can become happier than we have ever been before. God has a plan for us through which we can return to his presence and live with him forever with our families. This gospel brings me joy and can bring the whole world joy because it is ordained of God and because He is our Loving Heavenly Father, He wants us to be the happiest we can be. I have felt the happiness that this work brings to my life. THAT is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

How I am living my Faith right now is I am sharing it. I have been called by a prophet of God to share the things that I know with the people of Japan. I am telling them about the message of the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ on the Earth. I am serving them as Christ would and helping them understand the importance of Jesus Christ in our lives as we strive to return to our Heavenly Father. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and that is why he is sending missionaries across the entire world to share this message with people who have not even heard of God before because He wants every single one of His children to have a chance to return live with Him and Our Savior, Jesus Christ. It makes me feel sad to meet people or hear of people who do not want to believe or even try to believe in the things that have blessed my life, but the biggest joy that has come into my life is seeing someone experience the happiness I have felt and want to share it as much as I do. This gospel really does bring the happiness that everyone needs. You want war to stop, live the gospel of Jesus Christ. You want to help other people to be happy, live the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you want to do anything that can bless you and others, all you have to do is live the gospel of Jesus Christ. It really is that simple. That is why I am sharing it. It really is all you need in order to be happy and to help others get there too.

What is the priesthood?

Eric
The priesthood is the power, given to man, to act in God's name for the salvation of mankind. It is the same authority by which Moses and the prophets of old acted to lead God's people to the places God had prepared for them or, in a sense, their salvation. The priesthood is given to all those who are worthy and prepared to take that sacred responsibility upon them. Those that hold the priesthood and are worthy act through that authority and lead us to our salvation. The priesthood is given to male members of the church who have prepared to receive it. Those who hold the priesthood do not seek it as a chance to get a position of power or recognition. Rather, they are given a sacred trust by God to do the things that he has commanded them and to follow the example of Jesus Christ. It is a gift from God, not something that man has just claimed to have. It truly is the power by which God leads his church. Without the priesthood power of God, no one can lead his church. Just as the prophets of old held the power of God and led his people, there are prophets today who hold the power of God for our salvation and lead and guide his church through that holy power.
