Hi I'm Mio

I love skiing, yoga, Japanese food, and when it snows. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in the all the best places in the world (New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo) before moving to Utah. I never thought I`d grow up to say `I am from Provo`, but i`ve grown to love it! I have been blessed to see the world and then spend my teenage years in a place where so many people share the same values that I have. I love skiing, yoga, Japanese food, and when it snows. I`m good at saying what I think, surprising people around corners, and painting my nails. I need to improve my skills of loving animals, public piano playing and playing tennis. I want to rockclimb more, ski more, and learn to be a professional cook like my mother. I recently graduated from college and I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of this church. Although I have loved it all my life, there have been times when I doubted. I used to doubt in tough times when I didn't feel my prayers being answered, I used to doubt when I was having a hard day and felt like no one cared. I have learned though, through study and prayer, to doubt no more. I know know that no matter how we feel or what we think Heavenly Father cares and knows what we're going through. The hard things we go through will only make us better people. He can see the big picture of our lives and knows what is best for us. The future can be better than the past. I know this is all true. I know that through the teachings of Jesus Christ we can find hope and true happiness. I have faith that no matter what happens in my life, Heavenly Father has a plan for me and if I do my best, everything will work out. The hope and faith I have gained from the teachings of Jesus christ and the Book of Mormon are why I love this gospel. I am living a truly happy life.

How I live my faith

I left my life, my family, my friends, dating, skiing, and everything to tell other people about the faith and hope that I have gained through this church and its teachings. I want to help other people come to know that they are sons and daughters of a Heavenly Father that loves and knows them. I want to give them hope and help them find purpose in life. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary and teaching people in the Fukuoka Japan Mission and I love it.
