Hi I'm Cindy

I am a wife of 35 years, mother of 4, grandma of 5, Am a.Retired RadTech, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm and wife, mom, and grandma. My family is my best treasure. I spend my free time with photography and preserving our family's history. I grew up in the mountains in southern California and spent a lot of time with my family at the beach. Nature plays a huge part in who I am and how I see myself and how I relate to God. I love maintaining friendships made throughout my life. I love travel, music, dance, photography, sewing and needlework. I love my grandchildren (3 so far) and now spend all trips visiting them. I am thankful for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Firstly, I'm a Mormon because I was born to two active members of the LDS Church. I was baptized when I was eight. I continued being an active member, learning principles and teachings of Christ's church. I came to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the same church with the same teachings/gospel that Jesus Christ established when He lived on the earth. I've just always known that, probably because I've been blessed with many witnesses of the Holy Ghost/Spirit that it is a fact. Christ promised that His gospel would be restored through a modern-day prophet of His choosing - and He kept his word. Joseph Smith Jr, was chosen before this earthly existence started to be that prophet to restore that which had been lost and removed from the earth after the deaths of Christ's apostles. I know that many honorable, seeking men were preparing the way for Christ's church to be restored during the renaissance. I know that Christ stands at the head of this church and directs it through chosen prophets and apostles today. I have studied the scriptures (Bible, Book of Mormon etc.) enough to know that they support each other and witness of Christ. I guess I've continued receiving witnesses throughout my life, because I've looked for them and asked for them. Christ is serious when He says that the way to happiness is through Him.

How I live my faith

I attend Sunday church meetings. I study the scriptures. I pray to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, His son. I look for ways to serve and help others. I teach my family the gospel. I serve in church callings that I am asked to serve in. I try and be sensitive for communication from the Lord through the Holy Ghost/Spirit. I try not to damage the Light of Christ that we are all born with by trying to do the right things so that I won't loose that "ingrained" knowledge of what is wrong and right. I try and think what the Lord would have me do, or what He would do in my situation. I try to be a good example of what a disciple of Christ is. I look forward to the day when he will come again and rule the earth that He helped create.
