Hi I'm Kyle

I love sports, spending time outdoors, being with my friends and family, and I am a mormon

About Me

I come from a family of five. I am the youngest of my three siblings. I have two Sisters. Both of them are now married. My family is the most important part of my life. They have all helped me grow and become who I am today. From a toddler all through high school I loved to be involved with sports. It was my life. Football, baseball, and basketball filled all of my free time. I have always been best friends with my Dad. He was my coach for many years in a lot of sports. It was awesome to have him play such a major role in all that I did. I know that a lot of people don't get to enjoy that. I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible. During the warmer months of the year I have a variety of activites. I love going to the lake to wakeboard with family and friends, going mountain biking has always been a favorite of mine, I even enjoy a simple walk through the park. Spending time with my family and friends has always been my number one priority. I believe that everything is more fun when it is done with someone you love.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I am serving a mission in the Texas Houston South Mission, God has not always been an important part of my life. Growing up I was always pre-occupied with sports or what I thought to be "more important" things to do than church. I grew up as a Mormon and was taught by my parents that God is real and that he knows me. It really never set in until I had personal experience. It wasn't till the later years of High School and when I went to College that I wanted something greater and more fulfilling in my life. I was blessed to know where I could turn for help, and that was God. He became a major part of my life as I learned to live according to his teachings. Now that I have studied the teachings of Christ in the Bible and the Book of Mormon and have strengthened my relationship with God through prayer, I know that this is the plan that he has for all of his children. I know from personal experience the power and forgiveness of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that he knows me and that he is aware of my everyday struggles. He is there for me during the happy times as well as the hard times.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by serving a full time mission and dedicating two years to the Lord. Everyday I remember the special promises that I have made with God and how it is improtant for me to keep my end of those promises. I have always been a believer in being an example. I know that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and that if I really believe that I need to live according to his teachings. When one has true faith, it can be seen in how they conduct their everyday lives. I try to show my faith through my everyday actions, even when no one is looking. Christ is my teacher, and although it is only through His grace that I will be saved, I show my faith by living what he has taught me.
