Hi I'm Jack C Gains

I joined the Church in 1982 in Tennessee and I have been married for 38 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 61 years old and have been married for 39 years. I read the scriptures each day and I work for a care provider. I have loved the Church and the Gospel for over 30 years that I have been a member. I look forward to church on Sundays and love helping others. I look forward to retiring in a few years and my wife and I will go on a Church mission. I sing in all the local choirs and love to listen to the good music and I love my Savoir Jesus Christ with all my heart and soul. I am happy thayt I have he support network of my Ward and Church. My work in the Health Care in my area is a great blessing to me and it is fun helping people that need help to get well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because I know that the Church and Gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true Church on the earth. I have always known that the scriptures are true and that if I follow them I will return to my Heavenly Father. I believe in the Articles of Faith. I understand that one day my wife and I will be in Heaven with Heavenly Father and our family will be with us. The ordinance of the Church at true just like the Commandments of old. I have always been a christian but were I am now is true and I am very happy. I want to help people find the same happiness that I have.

How I live my faith

I follow the commandments and the scriptures. I follow the Articles of Faith and the Word of Wisdom. I work each day trying to act correctly and I pray to Heavenly Father in Jesus name for faith and love and hope. I work at our canniery here in Denver and I know that what I do gives help to others around the world. I have spent 30 years doing Family History and I love teaching the principal of eternal families. I teach members and non members Family History.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

It is the best part of the Church that we are all called to work in our Wards and Stakes. We do it with faith and love and it is the part that I enjoy the most. Show more Show less
