Hi I'm Brooks Merrill

I'm a Mormon. I own a business in Chandler, Arizona and I am a Mormon

About Me

From my point of veiw, I have had a wonderful life thus far and expect my life on this earth to continue to be fun and rewarding. My family has been members of the Church for generations and I am thankful for those that have blazed the trail ahead of me. I enjoy serving in the Church and often find that my abilities are stretched but I know the Lord blesses me in my efforts. I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful daugthers that love me and make me want to do better each day. I enjoy the outdoors and I have spent countless hours in the mountains and deserts of Arizona on my quad experiencing the beauty of Heavenly Fathers creations. I also love to spent time on my tractor making improvments to our property and veiw this as "enjoyment" and not "work". I am successful in our own business and enjoy creating fragrant products for others to enjoy. I and thankful to my Heavenly Father for His rich blessing upon my family and I.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this Church and believe everything good that has come my way is a direct result of membership in it. I am especially thankful for those that have gone before me and realize the sacrifices that have been made on my behalf. There were 6 children in our family and servaral have chosen not to stay on the path that leads to our Father in Heaven. I often wonder what brings them happiness and peace in this life? The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me this peace, hope, and joy as I try to live my life worthy so that I might be able to live close to the Savior with my family safely secured around me. It appears that life can be challenging and difficult at times and I am so thankful for my ward family that rallys around me whenever there is a need. What do others do that in these situations without knowing they have others they can turn too? For this reason I understand the importance of being a good neighbor, friend and missionary as I realize there are many who do not know where to find the truth. I love the temple and I am so thankful that I live within the shadows a temple and another temple that is just being built. It is a blessing to have a temple so close and this allows me to go each week. I am thankful for what the spirit teaches in the temple and the spirit I feel when there. I know that God lives. I know that Jesus is His Son and that He suffered in Gethseme and on the cross for me. How will I every repay Him? All I know to do is to remain faithful to the covenants that I made at baptism and in the temple and to endure to the end. I have had trials and set backs in this life and in each experience I have felt my Savior near me. I know that I am not along and I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that the Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead and that He provides comfort and direction in my life as I live worthy of His presence. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answeres my prayers. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

How I live my faith

Service to others is where true happiness comes from. I know for me, that I am the happiest when I forget about my self and focus on the needs of others. I have often wondered why the Lord has trusted me with some of the callings that I have recieved, but I have been so thankful for them and what they have taught me. I was able to serve as a bishop for a short period of time. Like any calling, I sure loved serving in this capacity. As a member of the stake presidency, I know consider myself as a member of each ward within our stake. In my current calling, I have stewardships over the youth, facilities and serveral other responsibilities. Anytime that I get to spent with our youth and the children of our stake, it is such a blessing. In this current call, it has been a blessing to counsel with the other presidency members to try and understand what the Lord would like us to be doing as a stake. We have recieved very clear direction in that the Lord wants us to build ourselves spiritually, and increase our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ while our new temple is being build. What a blessing it is to have a large stake with faithful members living their faith by serving others each and every day.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Brooks Merrill
The message that the missionaries have is so important for you to hear. As they speak to you, you will feel the spirit testify to you of the truthfulness of their message. You will love the feeling that the spirit brings in to your home and your life and you can continue to feel this spirit as you begin to pray and to read the materials and sections of scripture they will ask you to read. Many individuals who come into contact with the missionaries state that what the missionaries have taught them is what they have been looking for but were not sure where to find it.
