Hi I'm John L. Worland

I grew up in Denver Colorado. I work at several hospitals in Denver area. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a very loving wife and we have 5 beautiful children. Our latest addition was born the 1st of July and the 4th of July fireworks didn't bother him a bit. We like to go bike riding and enjoy sleepless nights with the new baby.

Why I am a Mormon

God cannot lie to you. If you ask God for yourself He will tell you through His Holy Spirit what the truth is. I wanted to know what the big deal was with these "Mormons". I did some research, talked to the Missionaries and they asked me to ask God for myself. I thought, "How obvious is that? and I didn't even think of it. I know God through a lifetime of searching. I will ask Him and I know He will answer me, because He has before". So I did and the Holy Spirit touched me in a personal way that only I would know and there was NO MISTAKING what the truth was and is. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the truth and the way. If you have the courage to ask then do so. Many people I've talked don't want to ask, they don't want to know because they are afraid it will change their life. The only thing it will change is your heart and your knowledge of God.

How I live my faith

I was called to be the church Clerk which involves paperwork and record keeping but I get to know everyone in the church by handling their records and being involved in all the activities. Many people are shy and don't want attention. This is like any organization and there is a place for everyone. There isn't anything in the Church that forces anyone to do anything. Many people ask me, "Don't you have to do this or that?" I always say "no, we all have free agency, it all depends if you believe or not. If you believe you won't have a problem with the rules and no one is forcing you to believe or could force you". I have had many callings in the Church and most last about a year to 2 years. To the surprise of many people, we find that church is fun, educational and rewarding. I wouldn't go if it were work and boring.
