Hi I'm Randi

I'm a mom. I'm a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married eight years to my high school sweetheart. I am in my fifth year of teaching. I love to read and watch television. My husband and I love to travel, but unfortunately haven't been to many places. We have a one-year old little girl who can brighten up anyone's mood. I try to run frequently, but I still hate it. Besides my husband, the people I am closest with are my siblings. When we are together, the laughing doesn't stop.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it contains Christ's full gospel. The doctrines taught are true and those who live and follow them will have joy. Life is hard and things happen we don't understand. Bad things happen to good people. But because of my testimony in these doctrines and the Book of Mormon, I understand why these things happen. In this church, I understand more fully what the love of our Heavenly Father is.

How I live my faith

I play piano in the children's organization every week. I get to spend my time with 3 year-12 year olds. Their faith is simple but just as powerful. They love Jesus Christ and the gospel and I get to help them put their testimonies into song.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Without grace, there would be no way for us to return to Heavenly Father one day. We could never do enough to make it back to his presence. The grace of Jesus Christ helps extend the efforts we make to return one day. I think of grace and works like a bridge. We are building a bridge to take us the Heavenly Father one day. Our works build that bridge, but in the end it never takes us there. That is were grace comes in and finishes the rest of the bridge to make it possible for us to return. Show more Show less
