Hi I'm Kira Spiller

I'm 20, married to the man of my dreams and have one beautiful little boy! I am as happy as I've ever been and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was married to my honey in the Brisbane, Australia Temple and we now have one beautiful little boy! I love going to the beach, learning to sew and cook, setting myself little fitness challenges, making our house a home, being a wife and a Mummy! My Family and the Gospel of Jesus Christ are the most important things in my life! They bring me the most joy and happiness!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon- my family were members of the Church when I was born. As a child I was loved so dearly by my family and brought up in a very supportive and loving environment. My family's example taught me a very important lesson, to always put the Lord first. Because of this example my parents and grandparents set for me, I had a strong desire from a young age to always be an active member of the Church. High school was a challenging time. I felt the pressure of my peers as I tried to make good decisions that seemed 'unpopular' to everyone else. However, I clung onto the values and lessons I had learnt in the home and at chuch and had faith that I would be blessed if I endured! I always had a goal to be married in the Mormon Temple! I am especially grateful for the commandments ad standards that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have given us- they are to keep us safe and they allow us to experience true happiness! I know that God is real and Jesus Christ is His Son. I know that He loves me. I feel so happy and free when I am keeping the commandments! I find the greatest joy when I am doing what my Heavenly Father would have me do!

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has a place in my life on an everyday basis- not just on Sundays. There are the simple things I do like singing songs about Jesus to my gorgeous son, having great discussions with my husband about The Creation and serving others that help me draw nearer to Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father. And that is why I love being a member of the Church. At church, I currently serve as a teacher in Relief Society but I think I am the one who benefits the most from my lessons! It has also been a great opportunity for me to overcome my fear of speaking in front of people! I strive to be mindful of others at all times and in all places. I enjoy meeting people of all ages and I try to show feelings of love, acceptance and inclusion to everyone I meet.
