Hi I'm Mark

I'm a market researcher, I love sport and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing sport, especially basketball and AFL. My favourite sport to watch is rugby union, especially the Queensland Reds. I also love reading and learning, especially reading about research. This is why I decided to work in the market research industry. I am very intrigued by human behaviour and perceptions and working in market research allows me to get a taste of that.

Why I am a Mormon

The answer to this question is really quite simple. I'm a Mormon because I know that it is the path that God would have me follow; not just me but everyone. I'm a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of mankind. I'm a Mormon because I believe in modern day revelation, modern day scriptures and in modern day prophets. I'm a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and I'm a Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith was chosen by God to be a prophet. I believe that this life is a testing period and that one day we will meet God again, so the choices that we make in this life are extremely important.

How I live my faith

In the church, I have had the opportunity to teach high school aged kids about the Book of Mormon, Bible and other scriptures in a small early morning class before school. It was a good experience helping them to understand what the scriptures teach and helping them to form a relationship with God. I currently help organise events for the young single adults in the church. I organise dances, balls, talent shows and many other fun activities. In the community, I try to be involved as much as I can. I am involved in several not for profit organizations that try to make the community a better place to live. Basically, I believe (as well as the church) in being good citizens in the community where you live. Serving others is a big part of that, from being involved in big projects such as the recovery from the Queensland floods to small acts of service like helping someone find their way in the city. I try to do this as much as possible.
