Hi I'm Emily

I'm a primary school teacher and I love sewing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been teaching year one for 2 years and I love it. I live with my amazing family, which includes a number of sisters. Life for us girls involves a lot of laughing and embarrassing moments. I'm a designer at heart. I'm constantly coming up with something new I want to make; from dresses, toys, bags and flowers. I'm learning to play the guitar and enjoy jamming away with my sister; playing very simple songs. I love Disney movies. I know my way around a computer and other techy stuff, giving me the nick name of 'tech support' at work. I love being outdoors...in the shade of a big old tree.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know my Heavenly Father loves me. I know with out a doubt that He is real and that He constantly blesses me. WIth all my heart, I want to one day return to live with Him, and I know that it is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ that it is possible. I'm a Mormon because I love my family. I know that my family can be together for eternity because of the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ loves me, that He died for me. I have grown up in the gospel, and was baptised at the age of eight. I have always known that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true because of the constant peace and happiness I have felt all of my life. Even when times are hard, and life seems impossible, I have always been able to feel my Heavenly Father's and Saviour Jesus Christ's love for me.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith in my church community:  I am currently a leader of the children in my ward. I love to see them learn and grow as children of God, and become the best they can be. At present I am very involved in our ward's Roadshow (mini musical comedy). I have an acting role, I'm designing and making the costumes, and also doing the choreography with my sister. I love being involved in the roadshows; I have developed life long friendships with people I have worked with during past roadshows. Roadshows give all those involved an opportunity to participate in fun and uplifting experiences. I live my Faith in my work community: In my job I come across a very diverse range of home lifestyles. It is just a nice feeling to make my classroom a happy and safe place for these children. Each and everyone of those children are important no matter where they come from or what they do. Jesus Christ loves all of us, and I feel I can share His love through positive interactions with those around me. I live my Faith by praying and reading the scriptures each day. I live my Faith by hanging out with my friends and family in uplifting environments. I live my Faith by attending church each Sunday. I live my faith by using respectful language when talking to people. I live my Faith by helping those around me. I live my Faith by being an example of Jesus Christ.
