Hi I'm Gemma

I'm a young single adult, I study Environmental Science, I have a great family, I'm off to Peru to serve a mission, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, My name is Gemma. I love to play sport and have fun. I love dancing and singing. I love hanging out with my friends and watching movies. Spending time with my family is one of my favourite things to do especially when we go camping together at the beach. I am a Spozzie, half Spanish, half Aussie! I love food, culture, history and travelling. But, my biggest passion is the environment, and working towards creating a sustainable world for our children to live in. I am really looking forward to February the 26th, which is the day I head to Peru, Lima North to serve the Lord on an 18 month mission. I am a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and grew up in the Primary and Youth programs which has instilled a testimony of Christ in me for as long as I can remember. Being a Mormon is the most important thing in my life. It brings my family together and strengthens us. It allows me to be myself and to live the way I want to live. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and that he gives me direction through my leaders so that one day I can return to live with him. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on this earth and that everything we are taught is true. I know that if I live and obey the commandments that I will be blessed and my Father in Heaven will look after and direct me throughout my life. I know he has a plan for me and that if I am righteous and diligent and put myself in the right place at the right time, everything will be alright. My testimony of my Savior and the truthfulness of His gospel has grown throughout my life because of trials and blessings that have come my way. I know that my Savior loves me enough to suffer for my sins so that I can return to my Father in Heaven. He suffered to take away my burdens and so that I can be happy and saved. I LOVE being a Mormon and I know that I would not be as happy and that my life would not be as fulfilled without this Church and the knowledge that I have.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Ward Missionary in my ward in Australia. I am also preparing to serve a full-time mission amongst the people of Peru, Lima North. I love my calling to assist the missionaries as it provides me with opportunities to teach people around me all about the Gospel which I know is true and hold so close to my heart. I love the opportunities I am blessed with, to share my testimony and love for my Savior with those people who I love and those I have never met before. Being a Mormon has been a blessing as I have been given the chance to share my testimony with others by being an example. I love working with the people at church who are the same age as me, organising activities and opportunities for them to learn and serve others. I know that every Sunday when I go to Church, the things I learn will bless my life and the lives of those around me.
