Hi I'm Brett

I grew up in Australia, I am a senior executive in a large organisation, junior basketball coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Brett and I am a senior executive in a large power company. I hold qualifications in Marketing and Economics and a Masters in Business Administration. I am currently undertaking doctoral work in the area of business value creation. I am married and together with my wife we are rasing 3 great kids. My wife is a professional educator and our children are all busy studying at school and university. I love sport especially basketball, football and athletics. I coach junior represenative basketball and receive a lot of joy as the team members improve their skills and progress in their understanding of the game. As a family we love to explore the world around us and we all love to travel. I also love to read and to study and feel that I am on a continual quest to build my understanding of the world around me. I read a large variety of material from science to business, and books about food and travel. I come from a large family many of who are active members in the mormon church. My family were among some of the earliest members of the church in Queensland, Australia. I am a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church. I have always been actively involved in the church and my faith and understanding have grown over the years. My beliefs are a central part of what defines who I am. As I live together with my family I know that the special message of Jesus Christ, that is central to our faith, helps us to live a peaceful and happy life. As I have studied scriptures and other religious texts my understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ have grown significantly and the precious gift of his atonement have become central to my way of life. I know that in times of trouble or trial that I can call on the blessing of the atonement to bring peace to my family and I. The church brings families together and the work we do allows us to bless the lives of others. Giving service in the church brings great joy and peace. By following the teachings of Jesus Christ and serving others I know that I am making a difference in their life and can help to bless their lives through that service.

How I live my faith

I am actively involved in my local ward and I enjoy meeting with others to discuss the message of Jesus Christ. I really enjoy working in our ward to assist the missionaries to share the gospel message with others. My favourite activity in church is teaching lessons in our Sunday School class.
