Hi I'm Tatiana

I love to be a mom and a wife to my best friend. I love to teach my children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I get to stay at home and be a full-time mom to our four children. Our children are ages 7, 5, 3 and 7 months. I have a passion for teaching. I studied elementary education in college because I planned on homeschooling my children. I am homeschooling our children now and love it. It definitely has its challenges (and is not for everyone family) but right now is a lot of fun for our family. I was homeschooled for elementary school growing up and I loved it. I hope to give my children a love for learning and be a part of their education. I also feel like a part of me is from Honduras. I lived in Honduras for 3 years while growing up as a teenager. I love to salsa dance and speak Spanish. My husband and I are teaching our girls to speak Spanish. I hope to live in Latin America again someday.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents taught me all about this gospel since I was little. They were amazing examples to me of strong testimonies. I read the Book of Mormon and other scripture and prayed about them. I felt a peace as I prayed about them. I also remember when I first received a testimony of Joseph Smith. I was in a little town in Honduras and I was out with the missionaries. We were visiting a family and it was late at night. We were outside on some plastic chairs. The sister misisonaries asked if I could share with the family all about the first vision. As I told them the story, I remember feeling the spirit so strongly. It seemed amazing to me that in this small little village in Honduras, I was telling this amazing, miraculous story of how God and Christ had appeared to a boy. And it really happened and it was for the whole world to know it. I'm so grateful that I have this gospel in my life. It helps me find happiness in every day life. The scriptures and the teachings from modern prophets help answer hard questions that I face daily in parenting and in my relationships with others. I know that this gospel is true. It brings us closer to Heavenly Father and makes us happier.

How I live my faith

I play the piano so that the young children can sing songs in their Sunday School. It is a joy to listen to children sing. They bring a special spirit as well. I also get to visit 3 women in our church group. Another woman and I visit them monthly. I try to be aware of their needs, in case they need some help watching their kids, if they are feeling down or if they just need a little treat to brighten their day :) I know that these programs are inspired by God.
