Hi I'm Laura Davis

I am a cellist and pianist. I work very hard at all I do. I am a mother. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, and both an older and younger sister. I play cello and piano. Music is my life, my calling, and I am eternally grateful for the talents I have been blessed with. I also enjoy drawing, primarily caricatures, portraits, and nature. Unfortunately, I rarely have time to sit and enjoy this relaxing hobby. I am busy with family, being a new mom working, practicing, and fulfilling my church callings. For a large chunk of my life I have faced multiple challenges. Physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. I continually work on finding the happiness and joy in life. I have found that focusing on struggles and limitations does not help you move forward, it only keeps you in the struggle. I work very hard to accomplish my dreams and to ensure I do well both educationally, musically, spiritually and financially. I am a happy, honest person, peaceful and reserved, with a twist of spunk and class tossed into the mix that makes me who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know Christ lives. I know of the love that God and Christ have for us personally. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been the most rewarding, joyous, peaceful, loving, overwhelmingly wonderful part of my life. It is satisfying. Beautiful. Miraculous. Exciting. True. Being exposed to the gospel and its teachings brings me closer to God every day. I know His love for me. I know His love for every individual on the face of this earth. I feel this through the Holy Ghost, which I received as a gift at baptism, and I am blessed to feel this warming, reassuring comforter in my everyday life. Christ is my Savior, and through the atonement, I will one day return to live with my Father in Heaven, surrounded by my family and loved ones for all eternity. I know this without a single doubt in my mind. Not a single one. This is the truth.

How I live my faith

By being kind and courteous at all times and in all places, I represent Christ and His true church everywhere I go, and I invite others to live a life of kindness, hoping they will understand the peace and comfort that comes from serving others and simply wearing a smile. I am also an example for those around me by fulfilling my callings as a wife, mother, and sister and setting a righteous example. When I am around people, I try to view them as Christ would view them. I know that we are all brothers and sisters, children of God, and He loves all of us. It is my responsibility as a witness of Christ to love and mourn with those that mourn, comfort those in need of comfort, and serve with my brothers and sisters. I live in a way that invites the Holy Spirit into my life and home. Continually having the Spirit with me gives me peace, hope, and comfort in everyday battles. By praying daily, reading from the scriptures, worshiping and serving the Lord, and always being aware of Satan's influence in the world, I allow the Spirit to always be in my life. This brings me such peace and joy that I often feel I just cannot keep it to myself. It is my hope and desire that all my fellow friends and family can partake of this sweet fruit of love and peace and overwhelming joy that has become such a central figure in my life!
