About Me

I am one of eight children where I am the oldest. I am a single mother of two teenage boys, have been sinch my youngest was 7 weks old, he is now 16. I have completed a Batchelor of visual Arts at uni, I did this when my boys were both in school. I am currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching. I would like to become a primary school teacher teaching the lower grades. I am a very creative person, I like to do anyting crafty. I love to scrapbook, I love looking at photos especially old photos and love to hear the history about them. I am always doing a craft project. I enjoy watching movies. I love to organise events and to decorate, creating an place for others to enjoy always put a smile on my face.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all of my life. My mother joined the church with her mother when she was 8 years old and my father joined at the age of 21. My parents were married(sealed) in the Temple and raised me and my seven brothers and sisters up as members in the church. Each week while growing up we had Family home evening where my parents taught me and my brothers and sisters the gospel. I was baptised at the age of eight and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I have always believd the church was true. I have no doubt, I know that our Heavenly Father and our Saviour Jesus Christ are there for us always to help to guide us in the right direction. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and restored the gospel on this earth in these Latter times. We have a prophet to day that has been called of God, who teaches and directs us today. We will again live with them one day if we are faithful and do all we can.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being active, by doing. If we sit idle we will not grow and progress. I love to serve and to help others. While I am helping others I feel closer to my Heavenly Father. I am currently working with the youth who will one day be our future leaders. The Youth need to know that their Heavenly Father loves them and to believe in themselves. I enjoy planning activities to help our Young Women to grow and in turn it helps me to grow as a person too. I start my day with a prayer to my Heavenly Father thanking him for all that he has done and given me. Life is not easy and knowing that my Heavenly Father is there for me makes life a little easier. Following the prayer I read my scriptures, I am currently reading the Book of Mormon. This helpes me to get through each day a little easier. The scriptures have been written for our time so we can learn and gain a greater testimony of our Saviour and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love going to church each week, to feel of the spirit and to renew myself for the comming week. I go to all activities even if I do not feell like going. It is important to do all we can, the programs in the church are set up for us to help us to learn and grow. I come away with more knowledge and it is nice to mix with others who have the same beliefs and values as I do. I live my fath by doing and always put the Lord first in my life.
