Hi I'm Adam

I grew up in Nebraska. I have a wonderful wife and son. I go to school in Lincoln and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Nebraska all my life, except for the two years in Salt Lake City Utah where I served for my church. I am an avid husker football fan and love going to games. I love to watch all levels of football, but the huskers are the only team I truly get excited about and follow. I am currently getting ready to attend law school and I look forward to that challenge. I have been married to my wonderful, and beautiful, wife for 3 and 1/2 years. We have a 20 month old son that is a joy and light in our life. He is a very energetic boy and he loves to have fun. He likes to run around, play "chase me", look at books and pretend to read them, and he loves anything that has to do with outside. My wife got her degree in music education and besides being a wonderful mom she teaches guitar lessons a couple times a week. She is also a wonderful singer, and we love to sing as a family. Music is important to us and is a fun family activity. My wife is also from Nebraska and both of our families still live here. Family is the focus of our lives and we are blessed to have our families so close. Life is very full and joyful for us, though it is not without its ups and downs. Despite having to sometimes deal with problems in life we are very happy that we have each other and our family.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Being a Mormon is so much more to me than just being a part of a church. I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. I know that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life of obedience and love so that He would be able to perform the Atonement. I know that I can be forgiven of my sins through faith in Jesus Christ and His infinite Atonment. I also know that Jesus Christ outlined a path for His followers to return to our Heavenly Father. Christ commanded that we have faith in Him, repent, receive the ordinance of baptism and the Holy Ghost, and to endure faithfully to the end. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has the authority to not only teach these principles, but to also perform the ordinances (like baptism) with the power and authority from Jesus Christ. If you want to learn more about my belief in this restoration of Jesus Christ's Gospel, please search mormon.org. As a church, we try to outline our beliefs as clearly and simply as possible, and mormon.org is one place we do that. If you ever have questions about our beliefs please do not hesitate to ask me, I will gladly answer any questions you might have. So why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I want to follow His gospel. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to do my best to serve those in my church and those not of my faith. I get the opportunity to help our church's full time missionaries to go and teach people who want to learn about our church. I also get the opportunity to teach members of our church about how they can share the message of Christ's restored church with others. I do this by teaching a class on Sunday after our sacrament service. Jesus Christ lived a life of service, and I do my best to follow His wonderful example. Serving others is a great way to feel the spirit of Christ and I know I feel it as I help others. Whether it be helping somebody move, cleaning up a park, blessing the sick and afflicted, or visiting those who have endured a loss, service comes in many different forms. The key is to look for those opportunities and then to act. Jesus Christ wants His followers to serve one another and all of God's children. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to serve and I hope to do much more in the future.
