Hi I'm Wade

I live in Colorado with my family. I'm a husband, a father, an attorney, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I originally moved to Colorado to obtain my law degree and MBA and we loved it so much here that we stayed. I'm married with three kids and one on the way. I love sports, the outdoors and spending time with my family. Life is good in the Rocky Mountains!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. I know it is the Lord's church once again restored here on the earth in its fullness. As I have applied the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ, it has brought immense peace and happiness into my life and into the life of my family. It has been said that the gospel of Jesus Christ makes bad men good and good men better and I know that is true. The Gospel has made me a better husband, a better father, and a better man. I have come to know that Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet of God. That God the Father and his son Jesus Christ did in fact appear to him and that they called him to be a prophet to restore their gospel in its fullness. I have also come to know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ along with the Bible. One thing I am very grateful for is that I was able to find the truth of these things out for myself without having to take another person's word for it. The Book of Mormon promises that if we read from its pages, contemplate what we've read and then pray and ask our Father in Heaven if it is true, that the Holy Ghost will testify to us that it is. I have done this and received numerous witnesses of its divinity. Furthermore, as I have applied the teachings I've learned from the Book of Mormon, it has brought me closer to God and made my life better.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the Bishop of my ward (congregation) where I have numerous opportunities to teach and serve both adults and youth. I provide a great deal of counseling to individuals and families. I also oversee mutiple programs in our ward including church services, welfare services, community service, and youth programs that include Boy Scouts and young women programs. I also serve as a home teacher where I make monthly visits to families who have been assigned to me. During these visits I provide spiritual messages about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also look after the welfare of these families to make sure their needs are being met temporally, emotionally and spiritually.
