Hi I'm David

I love to rock climb. I love to mountain bike. I love the outdoors and watch out, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm currently living in Skive, Denmark; population 6. Pretty indie, right? To some, it may seem like a strange place for a handsome and sophisticated chap to live, but luckily I'm neither of those! I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints right now and it's awesome! Before the 'mish' I lived a humble life in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I went to school there and studied accounting, but boy, does that not interest me! So upon my triumphant return I'll be studying political science and economics. More interesting, right? Back when I was just a boy, I enjoyed me some serious rock climbing and competed for my high school doing such. It was the cat's pajamas! Don't be fooled by my atheletic physique though, I love politics. Holy cow, nothing invigorates me more than a good political debate. Except for my faith, of course! Literally, I don't think there is anything that captivates my simple mind more than current events. Except for my faith, of course! Furthermore, nothing makes me happier than raw, unadulterated economic data. Except for my faith, of course! By this point, it should be apparent that my faith is of paramount importance to me! And boy, am I ecstatic to be a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young boy, I had a dear friend who was not a member of the church. However, she had more faith than I could have ever dreamt of! Not only was it strange to see such simple faith, it was inspiring! One day I had the opportunity to hear her relay her testimony of God and his son Jesus Christ to me. Something struck a chord on my heartstrings that day, that encouraged me to begin some serious soul searching for the truth. It wasn't long before I received my own testimony of God, Jesus Christ, the church, the prophet, and so many other vital aspects of the gospel. I am eternally thankful every day for the opportunity I had that day to be influenced by God. I now understand the purpose behind faith and will forever stand fast in my knowledge that God's church is once again on the Earth!

How I live my faith

As a member who wasn't super excited about my faith in my youth, I decided to get my act together and find some! Fortunately, God is a very nice Guy and blessed me with some life changing experiences that taught me the importance rock solid faith. So solid, you could climb it! In the past two years, I've had the delightful experience of serving a mission and preaching the good word to the Danish people. It hasn't been easy, but it has been extremely rewarding! There truly is nothing as important as faith in God. Dare I say, finding faith is the most important thing we can do here on Earth! I do my best to live like Jesus Christ. There really isn't a better example of how we should act, now is there? In his life, he showed pure love, pure charity, pure selflessness and so many other fantastic qualities we should try our hardest to emanate in our lives. It's not easy, but like a really famous person once said, "If it was easy, everybody would do it!"
