Hi I'm Sara Eggers

I love music, I love writing, I love my family, friends, and this gospel. I'm a Mormon :)

About Me

I am 21 years old and just finished my third year of College. I'm studying to be a journalist and it's my dream to live in a big city like New York or Los Angeles and write for a major fashion magazine. Who knows if that will happen though, because an even bigger dream of mine is to get married and start a family, and I'm not sure big cities like those are the best places to raise a family. But, whatever happens will be amazing and I'm sure I will just LOVE it! I also love music. Country, hip hop, indie, pop, you name it, and I love it. Except rap and screamo, those are just nasty. I play the guitar and sing and I've written some original songs. For me, writing music is like therapy. Nothing can cure a broken heart better than writing a song about the person who broke it ;) . I love my family, my friends, and just people in general. I am definitely a people person. I love to talk and be around those that I love and care about. I love the sun and the beach, if I could, I would be at the beach all day everyday. Swimming, tanning, playing beach volleyball; everything is just so much more fun at the beach. Something else about me, that actually is a pretty big part of who I am, is my religion. I love it, I love everything about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and is a huge influence on anything and everything I do.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me as a Mormon, but for most of my younger years I wasn't very interested in religion, I just went because that is what my whole family did. After going through some tough times though, I began to realize the importance of relying on my Heavenly Father. For the first time in my life, I realized I couldn't do everything by myself! That was definately a humbling experience. So, I started to rely on my Heavenly Father, and my Savior Jesus Christ. By doing this, I saw how much happier I was. I put my life in their hands and instantly Heavenly Father began to bless me. I began to love church and to love the scriptures. I saw how much I could relate the scriptures to my own life, and what a blessing that was! So to make it short and sweet, the reason I am a Mormon, is because I know the is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and I love him and want to follow him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my example. I would hope that every person who see's or interects with me would notice my faith by how I live. I try my best to be Christlike in every situation- even though sometimes it is so hard to do so. I read my scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father everyday, and that gives me the strength I need to overcome my weaknesses and the trials I go through. Something I am doing right now to live my faith is by serving a mission. I've left behind my family, friends, dating, television, a phone, schooling, work, and many other things for 18 months to serve my God and bring people the knowledge I have of this true and restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
