Hi I'm Jolie

I joined the LDS faith on my own at the age of 18. Today, I'm a mom, a professional photographer, and happy to be Mormon!

About Me

I am passionate about photography! I've been taking photos of my own kids for years and recently opened my own portait business. Gardening is another thing I love. Living in the Pacific Northwest USA it rains A LOT. Which makes the area lush and green. I am a mother to 9 and love dating my husband once a week. We have 4 grandchildren too! My greatest joy comes from spending time with my kids and family. I love camping, travel, and outdoor movie night on our back deck.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the LDS church at the age of 18. With much reluctance from my mom, I knew in my heart it was the right choice for me. I have been a member of His church for 20 years now and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank my Father in Heaven for bringing His gospel to me. It changed my life then and brings me the most happiness I have ever found in life. I have experienced many trials in my life. I've been a single, divorced mom and a Widow. Through it all, the one thing that has always pulled me through is my faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ. He continues to carry me today. My testimony is my rock and I know that His gospel is true.

How I live my faith

Currently I serve in my church as the leader over activities for our Women's group. I work with 3 other wonderful ladies and I enjoy their friendship and the friendship of all the women in our group. They inspire me to be a better person as we serve side by side helping women with their spiritual, emotional and physical needs. I am also able to use my talents as a photographer to create images for our church and our community. I feel it is important to live my religion. I try to live as the savior did and help those in my community and church. I think in today's world people need to know about the good things in life and not just the bad news. Sharing the great news of the gospel is my joy.

What is the Relief Society?

Relief society is a group of women all over the world that share hopes, dreams, faith, and service. Where do you go when life's struggles weigh you down? Who can you turn to for advice? Where can you find answers to questions about raising children? How can you learn how to balance work and home life? Where can you find peace in a crazy world? Where can you find strength to carry on when depression sets in? Where can you find a good recipe? RELIEF SOCIEY! It is just that..."relief" for women all over the world from those "who've been there". Relief Society is all about paying it forward. There are opportunities to serve people of all faiths in far away countries and those on your own block. Sew a quilt for a women's homeless shelter, take a meal to a new mother and her family, share your talents with other women...the possiblilities are endless. Show more Show less
