Hi I'm Jessie

I live in Colorado. I'm going to school to be a teacher. I love to longboard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I'm a student in college. I love school, reading, and movies. I love to spend my week with my family, and my church family. I am learning to longboard right now and I love it! I love to hang out with my friends and have adventures! We love to camp, swim, hike, and so much more! I love to sit around a fire with all my friends and family to roast s'mores, and Starburst's! I love helping people, and volunteering. Summer and winter are my favorite seasons. My brother and sister are my best friends. This is my life, and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom has always told me that everyone is a convert. No matter if you were born into the church like me, or you find the church later in your life like my grandparents did. We all must have that moment when we truly believe the teaching's of Christ. We must gain our own testimony to help us through life. We all have that conversion moment when we feel the spirit testify the truthfulness of the gospel to us. I am a Mormon because I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for us while here on earth. Being baptized is the first step to getting back to Him in heaven. He wants to see us again. He loves each and every one of us. No one is greater than the other, we are all children of God. Being a member of this church has helped me figure out who I am. I am a daughter of a king. I am a child of God. I love the equality of this church, the love the members have to offer, and the divine potential that we come to see in ourselves. I want to reach my divine potential, and I know that by following the example of the Savior I can do just that.

How I live my faith

The Branch that I attend on Sunday's is small to most people, but we make it fun, and have a good time together. I love to attend Family Home Evening, and Institute! We have a blast and a half together! I couldn't ask for a greater group of people to spend time with! I especially love institute because it's that recharge you get in the middle of the week when you get to feel the spirit like on Sunday, but you get to have fun and goof around. It's like Sunday school only a little less reverent. That is where most of my friendships have been strengthened. I do anything I can to remind myself that I am a disciple of Christ and that I am an example to others of His teachings.
