Hi I'm Kurtis

I'm a Canadian, I have a beautiful wife and two daughters and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a family man, who loves to spend time with the ladies of my life. I work in municipal government, I have a university degree and I am considering a master's degree in the future. I like being active and playing sports, reading and drawing, although I am not all that good at the last one. I like to travel and learn about history and the worlds current events. I am optimistic of the future and am lucky to have a wonderful family who loves and supports me in my opportunities.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know through the overwhelming peace in my soul that I am a child of God, that He has a plan for me and that I have a purpose. The sense of direction that the gospel of Christ brings into my life is a tremendous gift that has helped guide me in the decisions that I make. My wife and daughters keep me grounded and I am thankful that they support and put up with me as I learn and grow. My family is so important to me that I am seeking to live better everyday. I know that Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son in the sacred grove and that They, through him restored His church on the earth once again, The light and truth that the Gospel of Christ brings to the world helps break through the mists of confusion and doubt that permeate society and provide hope to all who are looking for more in this life. I need and appreciate these gifts and am forever grateful that I was willing to listen to the Spirit and follow the the Master's call.

How I live my faith

I am lucky to be able to serve my family as the husband and father of my home. I have the opportunity to really get to know three families in my congregation through monthly visits and as a friend. They become part of my thoughts and prayers as I go about my day. At church and throughout the month, I also have the opportunity to serve an group on men in my congregation and together we seek to become better husbands, fathers and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. All of these experiences and many other day to day situations, keep me focused on following my Saviour's example.
