Hi I'm Brent

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Father and Husband. My and my wife have 2 young children. When I get a chance I love to go Mountain Biking, Travel or just get out and about. I run a small Finance business which I started last year. I have worked in finance for around 5 years, ever since I graduated from University with a Business management/Banking and Funds Management degree. I went to Canada Montreal Mission for 2 years, and learnt to speak French so I could share my beliefs with others there. It was Freezing, but beautiful!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a religious family, but as I got older realised there was something missing despite all my religious activities. I had never heard of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints until one day my Father told me he had heard about it through a business associate. Shortly thereafter we phoned to see if the missionaries could come and visit us to tell us more. They began teaching us about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I must say initially I thought this is just too good to be true, and I was quite skeptical, particularly about the claim to have a Prophet who guides the Church today. Thankfully I continued to investigate what the missionaries taught me, and eventually prayed about the truthfulness of what they taught and the Book of Mormon. I recieved my answer that these things are true, and have recieved this same answer many times since through quiet, peaceful feelings that confirm to me the truth. I am very happy to have the Gospel in my life today to guide me, and my family on the path to happiness. It also gives us meaning and purpose, particulary through the difficult times when life does not go as smoothly as you wish.

How I live my faith

I am a Ward Missionary. This means I help to visit people in the local area to assist the Full Time missionaries in teaching and share the Gospel with others around me. This is voluntary work, but the satisfaction I get from it is tremendous, as I see the lives of others touched by the hand of Christ. I can help them to feel what I feel.
