When i get home I plan on getting a degree in broadcasting cummunications from Weber State University my goal with that is to become a sports broadcaster. I love video games especially madden and nba 2k. I love camping and fishing and boating, and swimming, and 4 wheeling, dirt bike riding, mountain biking, roasting marshmellows and hot dogs by the fire. Watching espn and anything else sports related especially ones that debate a lot. IM a huge fan of having fun. Im not a robot teacher I have over 50 ties and still want many more. I tend to like medium and large sized dogs except when they are chasing me. I try to look fresh. My favorite days are Sundays and Mondays. I love the sound of running water. Also I love to joke and laugh sometimes at the wrong moments though but if I relize it I quickly apologize I love my family even though were all crazy and I'm a missionary but more importantly a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member but i started to fade away when i was 15 and then later that year i was riding my dirt bike with only a helmet on and got in a really bad accident by myself on the first day of a family vacation in Idaho and i went into shock luckilly for me i was fortunate enough that my uncle is a worthy priesthood holder and he gave me a blessing that i would be healed. I ended up ok i dint break any bones just got a rock taken out of my knee that the doctors couldnt see but ever since then i knew that there was a god and that he loves me and that he has something in store for all of us because he loves all because were his children. Something else that I found out during that accident is that I have a Savior that loves me and that excites me because I make mistakes everyday but because of Jesus Christ I can repent and change and become more like Him. I have seen so many blessings since I started not only going to church but participating and enjoying church one of those blessings is a deeper desire to read the scriptures and they used to be boring but now I love them and they are exciting.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by sharing the gospel to people in the Moncks Corner South Carolina area. Biking and driving in the hot and cold from 10 AM to 9 PM. But before my mission I just tried to be a good example to my friends and family by using clean language and by doing service for other people. When I was coaching football I was hoping to make an impact dont know if I did or not but I did my best. Right now though I knock on peoples doors telling them about how there is a Prophet on the earth again. When im not doing that im visiting members of the local congergation streanthening them and their families. Also just duing service even just simple acts like holding a door open for somebody because that is what Christ would do. I try to live my faith in all that I do I know I fall short of it but I try to be perfect.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Zak
Yes we Do!!!! we believe the Bible is the word from God as long as it is translated correctly. We believe that the king james version of the Bible is the most correct translation. We just believe the Book Of Mormon to be more scripture from God about a group of people that moved from Juresalim to the Americas that believe in the same God as the people in juresalim Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Zak
The money that missionaries get are from their own expense you earn enough money before you go on your mission and then you give it to the church then they distribute the money as needed to all the missionaries in the world for example it costs a lot of money in europe to live where as if you live in central or south america everything is preety cheap so they will each missionary will get enough money to live for the month based on where they are serving their missions Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Zak
The Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It is God's dealings with a group of people that left jerusalem around 600 BC because God told them too. The Book Of Mormon just helps people go foward with more faith in Jesus Christ and in God it is a second witness That God does live and He does care about us that is why he sent his son Jesus Christ. Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Zak
Why do we need a savior? Because of the fall of adam adam could no longer be in the garden of eden hence we are however the fall was a good thing because without the fall we could not be here because adam and eve could have kids. So eve ate the fruit and adam did also because he recognized the need. So he sinned. they couldnt go back to heaven because of their shortcomings. A savior rescues somebody and Jesus Christ is our Savior because He has rescued us so we could live with Him and Heavenly Father. Also when He died on the cross He felt everything that we would ever feel and I am grateful for that. I know that we have a Savior that is Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Zak
Well lets take a worldly analogy why cant the ice cream man pull you over? Because he doesnt have the authority to do so. Baptism is the same was you just cant Baptize somebody because you feel like it. Even though that Baptism may have been good because it was showing their Faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ unless that person has the Priesthood or the authority from Heavenly Father by the laying on of hands then that baptism is invalid. Jesus Christ gave us the best example of all when He was baptized He walked 80 miles to do so He didnt just get baptized by one of the pharisees He got baptized by John the Baptist because he had the authority. After Jesus Christ went back to heaven The twelve Apsotles had that authority but over time before they could pass the authority down they had all died. Luckily out of Heavenly Fathers love he restored that same authority to Joseph Smith. Any male member twelve years old and over can have the Priesthood and gan trace it all the way back to Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
