Hi I'm Meagan

I grew up in the good 'ol south. I love to be a child at heart. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to do all sorts of things: read, write, hike, swim, even ride four wheelers. I like to do pretty much anything so long as it doesn't deal with heights and sudden drops. I recently got married so I now have a partner in crime to share my fears, love and joys with. College is around the corner, so I can finally complete my degree for Deaf Interpretation. I enjoy helping people and I love to serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never known any other church but this one. I have been to a few southern Baptist churches and even a Methodist service or two, but I personally know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the perfect church for me because of the truth I feel in the doctrine. Everything falls into place and make sense. There is no "blank spots" on why such-and-such is so. My faith has kept me whole and through answered prayers and searching, my testimony in the church has grown stronger daily. I feel that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father both have blessed my life in so many ways. One of the ways is, I know without their guidance, I wouldn't have opened my heart to my husband and I would never be where I am today. I only hope one day I can do them justice by showing the love, compassion, and forgiveness they give me daily to the people I am around.

How I live my faith

There are three hours of church, two of which, I participate with the adults. The last hour, I get to spend time with the children, more specifically three and under. I have discovered a new way to teach their lesson and hold their attentions. This is my most recent calling. When I was attending Young Single Adult activities, I became a Young Single Representative. Which entitled me to call and organize activities for young adults my age. I am really shy so it gave me a chance to open up to the Young Adults and get to know them. I also let them know what activities were going on. Of course, I had help, so it wasn't all one person. After a while I organized dances. We tried to have a dance once every month so we all get a chance to visit with other Latter-Day churches in the region. All of my callings, being a Nursury Leader, Young Single Adult Representative and Chairman of the Dance Committee, have changed my life. I have learned that creativity and stress go hand-in-hand and I have to take it in stride. They have taught me that life is much the same way and that a prayer is a must. I have learned how to be more open and friendly. I love to help out anyway I can, so I am thankful for all the opportunities I have been given to teach and to grow as a person. =)
