Hi I'm Lealani

I like home fix-it projects. Last night it was changing the furnace filter. Tomorrow, the mini-blinds. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an enthusiastic cook. I love to be outdoors, especially on sunny days. I'm a mom of two happy, wonderful kids. I enjoy watching college football with my husband. (Go Bucks!) I enjoy reading mystery, biographies, novels, juvenile literature--all well-written literature. I'm a Christian and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with the gospel. My parents took me to church every Sunday ever since I can remember. We studied the scriptures as a family, had family prayer, held a family night and participated in all our church's activities. I knew my parents loved Jesus Christ by the way they lived their lives. My upbringing has had a profound impact on me, but it is not the reason I am still a Mormon. When I was twelve I decided to pray and read my scriptures every day by myself. Through the Holy Spirit, I gained my first testimony that this church has the fullness of the gospel and that Heavenly Father loves me. Over the years I have gained further witnesses through the Spirit about other aspects of the gospel, including the reality of Jesus Christ as the Savior of all humankind, the protection and blessings that come from paying tithes, and Heavenly Father's constant awareness of me. He blesses me more than I can adequately express! I love Him so much!

How I live my faith

"Being a Mormon" is part of everything I do. I live my faith by trying to reach out and help anyone in need. I attend church with my family. I look for God's hand in my life daily, and when I'm paying attention, I see His influence abundantly. I live my faith by doing my best to follow God's commandments. When I fall short of living the commandments (a daily reality), I know that I can turn to the Savior and repent. I trust that through Jesus Christ's atonement I can be saved and changed to be a better person. To quote from one of my favorite songs, "He can make more out of you than you can ever hope to do alone."
